We Went to the ARCADE!! 🎮🎉

OMG you guys, last Sunday was literally the BEST DAY EVER!! So okay — we were actually supposed to go to an indoor playground in Nanaimo, but when we got to the mall it turned out it was the GRAND OPENING of a brand new arcade!! So obviously we stayed 😄 Me and my brother Lux had SO much fun I'm still smiling about it!!

First Stop: Piano Blocks!! 🎵

As SOON as we walked in I saw this huge game called Piano Blocks and I had to play it!! It's like a giant touchscreen with colorful lights all over it and you tap the right blocks as the music plays. Me and Lux played it together and we were like a TEAM. The lights were SO pretty — pink and blue and purple everywhere!!

I got a really good score too!! (okay fine Lux helped a little but we still did awesome 😂)

Crazy Hammer — THE HARDEST GAME 🔨

Okay so Crazy Hammer is this game where you throw a ball to hit targets and you would NOT believe how hard it is!! The machine is HUGE and the targets are way up high. I had to reach SO far but I actually hit some!! You could hear the BOOM sound every time and it was so satisfying.

Me and Lux were both trying our hardest and it was hilarious because the ball kept going different directions. We got SO many tickets from this one though so it was totally worth it!! 🎯

HALO: Fireteam Raven — We Saved the World 🔫

This game was SO COOL. It's called HALO: Fireteam Raven and you sit in this curved seat and shoot at aliens on a GIANT screen with a real-looking gun controller!! It felt like you were actually IN the game. Me and Lux were both shooting at the same time and we were like a real team fighting aliens together. We got SO many kills!!

The seat takes up your whole view and you feel completely inside the action. I definitely want to play this one again next time!!

GG Bond Super Race 🏎️

We also played GG Bond Super Race which is this super cute racing game with the most adorable cartoon characters!! You sit down and hold these little controllers and race against each other. The characters are SO funny and the game is really fast. I don't totally remember who won but I think it was basically a tie 😄

The Mall Ride 🐺

On the way to the arcade there were these robot animal rides in the mall and obviously I HAD to try the wolf one!! It was this giant fluffy robot husky and it actually moves!! Dad took a photo and I look like I'm taming a wild wolf, which is the most accurate description of me ever.

Prizes!! 🎁

After all the games we had SO many tickets!! We went to the prize counter and I got bracelets and a little notebook and this rainbow lollipop that was MASSIVE. I'm saving the notebook for writing stories and blog ideas.

My First Ever Lip Gloss!! 💄

Okay so the arcade was already the best part of the day but then Dad took us to Sephora on the way out and I got my FIRST EVER makeup item — a lip gloss!! I was SO excited. It's so pretty and glossy and I felt SO grown up. This was honestly a huge deal for me and I'm never going to forget it.

This was honestly one of the best days I've had in SO long. Grand opening arcade + games + tickets + prizes + first lip gloss at Sephora = the most perfect Sunday formula EVER. If you ever show up to a mall and there's a brand new arcade having its grand opening, you DROP your plans and you GO IN. Trust me.
